Stephen brings over 25 years of merger and acquisition experience to the helm of Sun Mergers & Acquisitions. Throughout this time, Stephen has successfully orchestrated the sale of more than 200 mid-market companies in a wide range of industries and markets, generating over $800 million in purchase price for his Shareholder clients. In 1985 he was a founding member of a NJ based acquisitions firm and subsequently founded Sun M&A to more narrowly focus on the exit strategy goals of family and entrepreneurially owned middle market clients. Sun has emerged as one of the leading regional players in this field. In addition to his work as a Certified Business Intermediary, Stephen is a frequent lecturer on business sale, business valuation and value enhancement topics. He is the author of Exit Strategy, a quarterly industry publication, and has had numerous articles published in a variety of media outlets.

Stephen brings over three decades of entrepreneurial and management experience to the Sun M&A team. Capitalizing on a background in both finance and sales, Steve founded a multinational garment manufacturing business that he ran for over fifteen years. Subsequently he owned a sports facility, a residential construction business and later founded an operational consulting firm with a focus on preparing business owners for the eventual sale of their companies. This focus included business evaluation, valuation and strategic advice on how to maximize corporate value. Stephen eventually folded his consulting concern with Stephen Goldberg's transactional firm to form what is now Sun M&A.

Scott brings 20 years of experience to the Sun M&A team, capitalizing on his multifaceted background. His broad background includes: founding a technology focused transactional intermediary firm in RI; partnering with a private equity group to start a consumer product company with responsibilities in sales, production and distribution; and most recently acquiring a manufacturing and distribution business that realized 12-fold growth, and benefited by two divestures and four acquisitions. This background provides Scott with a unique perspective and understanding of all aspects of value enhancement, getting a company prepared for sale and the entire sale process.

Bob has over 30 years of experience dealing with middle market companies. He was a Senior Vice President & Regional Manager at Barclays Bank, with responsibility for middle market corporate and real estate lending activities in New Jersey and the greater New York area. For the past 15 years he has utilized this past experience working with middle market M&A firms, identifying and successfully bringing to market numerous transactions in a variety of industries. In addition to his broad based M&A background, Bob's experience in banking, real estate and financing brings an added dimension to the Sun M&A team.

After spending 35 years as an entrepreneur, creating, building and ultimately selling his successful companies, Alan brings his experience in finance, marketing and negotiating to the Sun team. During his career he has focused on working with middle market companies in a variety of service, manufacturing and distribution industries, helping them solve insurance and financial challenges. Alan graduated from NYU and has completed advanced studies in marketing, insurance and finance.

Dan has over 15 years experience as a professional in a wide range of industries. His background includes several years on active duty as an Army Officer, consulting for a Fortune 100 company on restructuring engagements, and turn-around work with an aerospace concern. Ultimately, Dan founded Clear Rock Associates, a middle market M&A firm with a focus on financial services/insurance transactions. Dan is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point.

Gary joins our firm with a wealth of knowledge and extensive skill set crucial to the nature of the business sale process. He provides an elevated corporate dimension to the Sun team with a broad national, international and industry specific business expertise. Gary is a CUNY graduate (City University of NY) with more than three decades of combined entrepreneurial business ownership, as well as executive marketing and senior level roles, facilitating his successful career in the Fortune 500 and 100 arenas. As an executive at Allied Stores Corporations, Gary contributed to the coordination, growth and expansion of approximately 100 acquisitions in a 10 year period. Additionally, Gary effectively executed several personal merger and acquisition deals to grow and later sell several small/mid market entities.

Jessica brings her experience in marketing, finance, and business valuation training to provide a broad perspective to Sun’s current marketing initiatives. She is also directly involved in the Sun Business Valuation division, and is an Accredited Valuation Analyst (AVA), conferred by the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA) for proficiency in business valuation. NACVA'S CVA/AVA designations are the only valuation credentials accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
